Lately, I have watched a TV travelling programme about Africa, Morocco. It talks about the Arabic cultures, history and cuisines. One thing drew me attention was the Arabic Mint Tea. It is because I have tried once when I travelled in North Africa. The taste of this mint tea was extremely sweet lol.

How to make Arabic Mint Tea?

1) Clean the tea with boiling water to remove the dust from shipping and to make tea less bitter; Remove rinsed water;

2) Put cleaned tea into the boiling water and boil it for further several minutes;

3) Add Sugar and fresh mint in it and Mix them into a teapot with a long, curved spout; ( You can put the suger in step 2 but not in step 3, it is up to you lol)

The traditional curved spout allows tea to be poured into tiny glasses from a height of approximately half a meter to form a foamy head. Then, it returned once/ twice to the teapot for a good mix. ( It sounds similar to our chinese tradition of tea culture. I will write about it in the next post.)

P.S. I found that it is interesting to know about Arabic countries, it is a mystery and I would like to explore a bit more about it~ :-)
