Moon River” is a song composed by Johnny Mercer (Lyrics) and Henry Mancini (Music) in 1961, for whom it won that year’s Academy Award for Best Original Song. It is most well-known for being sung in the moive Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Audrey Hepburn.
I like the melody of this song~ it makes me feel comfort and relax….sometimes, it did make my tears shedded…..
MOON RIVER (1961)
Moon River, wider than a mile,
I’m crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you’re going I’m going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There’s such a lot of world to see.
We’re after the same rainbow’s end–
waiting ’round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.

It’s a very beautiful song, indeed.
Best

Yes, it is really a beautiful song. I used to listen to it when i feel lonely. It makes me think about the sweetest thing with my love.
Thanks for your comment, Wind Rose Hotel.
when God made Audrey Hepburn, he broke the mold !!,,I did visit her resting place in Tolochenaz, Switzerland..she is buried across the street from her house..the house has a huge stone wall around it & her church is a few steps away..God Bless her !!..
Thanks Anna visited my blog and providing the info about where her resting place was. I just knew that she is resting in Switzerland!
It’s pity Audrey Hepburn left this world too early….She was one of the beautiful woman in the world.
